Welcome to the Spicebird Developer page. This page is for those who are interested to get involved or already involved with Spicebird.
Contributing to Spicebird
Spicebird is still in very nascent stages. Spicebird can benefit from your contribution in many ways:
- Bring in your ideas: Roadmap has the information of the planned features for future releases of Spicebird. Your ideas and suggestions will be very valuable. Post your feature requests on the project issue tracker.
- Quality Assurance: You can improve the quality of Spicebird by downloading the testing the latest release. Please report bugs at the project issue tracker.
- Localization: You can localize Spicebird for you language. See the localization page for information on Spicebird localization.
- Addons: You can write new addons or port existing Thunderbird/Sunbird addons to Spicebird. See the tutorial for making Spicebird addons.
- Add features and fix bugs: If you want to get your hands dirty with Spicebird code, you can start by building Spicebird from source code and contributing patches. The Spicebird source code is available for download as release tarballs as well as the Subversion source code repository. Some bugs that are good for getting started with the code are specially marked with a keyword "spicebird-love".
